Fidel Castro's funeral took place 'dignified and private'

Funeral former Cuban president Fidel Castro will take place with the participation of family members and relatives. It's roughly 1,000 km, in Havana, 21-gun salute was fired up, signaling initiation ritual moment, according to Reuters.

Cuban state media initially said the event will be televised live but a few hours before the ceremony takes place, appears to notify or ceremonies will take place "dignified and private."

Cuban leader Fidel Castro tried to be buried at the Santa Ifigenia cemetery in the city of Santiago.

According to AP, the vehicle carrying the ashes left Fidel Castro Revolution Square in Santiago at 6h39, earlier than the scheduled time of 20 minutes. Thousands of people flocked to the two sides closed more than 3 km long road leading to the Santa Ifigenia cemetery for his final farewell. They waved Cuban flags and chanted "Fidel alive!".

Funeral convoy entered the cemetery at 7h12. The crowd stood at the entrance to the Cuban national anthem sang. All activities, a ceremony inside the cemetery are confidential.

Santa Ifigenia Cemetery is the resting place of the Cuban national hero Jose Marti 19th century. This is also where Carlos Manuel de Cespedes buried, who launched the war against the Spanish in Cuba in 1868.

Former President Fidel Castro, Cuba's revolutionary icon, died at 25/11 in Havana at the age of 90. The Government of Cuba has declared national mourning day to commemorate 9 former leader.
