Smoke spray sudden high ash column 2,000m without warning signs, the volcano on the island of Lombok Barujari (east of Bali, Indonesia) has around 400 tourists stranded and nearly 1,100 people have been evacuated.
According to local media reports, the volcano began spewing into the afternoon 27-9. 28-9 this morning, disaster mitigation agency Indonesia (NDMA) has sent rescue workers to search for some 400 guests - mostly foreigners, are believed to be trapped in the area.
NDMA spokesman, Mr Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, said the number of tourists visiting the mountain on registration Barujari from 25-9 and they've come at a volcanic eruption.
"We're still looking for some visitors to find out their status and immediate evacuation," said Nugroho said.
Also the number of visitors on nearly 1,100 others were evacuated. So far no information on the wounded.

Due to the volcanic eruption, most of the flights to and from Bali last night was canceled. The passengers are likely trapped until tomorrow 29-9 or longer, according to Press TV.
Indonesia has 130 active volcanoes. Last year, the country's Sinabung volcano eruption ever made more than 10,000 villagers to flee their homes evacuated

Earlier in 2014, each Sinabung volcano erupted violently, killing at least 16 people dead and caused serious damage to infrastructure, agriculture and tourism industries of the region.
