Touching story behind the pink pumpkin
Halloween season this year, we are not only decorative pumpkins beautiful but also very meaningful.
A farmer named Troy Dawson Garvick Starner and students planted pink pumpkins on the farm beautiful Troy's farm in New Oxford to raise money for the Breast Cancer Fund, according to WGAL News. They are a group of people belonging to 50 farmers across America are planting pumpkins for Pink Pumpkin Fund (Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation).
Particularly this year, this Pennsylvania couple has planted about 400 pumpkins for charity. Two farmers have done this great idea to help those women with breast cancer - the disease that their mothers are going through.
Pink Pumpkin Patch founder, Carol Froese - an escaped patient with breast cancer, the seeds were stored colorful pumpkins and create opportunities for people across the country an opportunity to have fun and sense to support breast cancer research.
This annual campaign was launched in 2012 and not only encourage people to buy pumpkins, but also helps them to show solidarity in the fight to find a way to cure for breast cancer patients. This is a practical measure and helpful.
