The confidence-building measures
Female Professor Mie Oba, from the University of Natural Sciences in Tokyo, said the most important thing for the peace and stability of East Asia so far, and especially what makes big changes to the international environment in East Asia was the resistance of the water around the islands sovereignty issues in the South China Sea, particularly between the US and China.

These measures include: cooperative joint patrols; reduce the unilateral military action; enhancing cooperation for development in some less sensitive areas; strictly implement the provisions of international law, of international law; establishment of centers to share information; established central control area maritime security; establish mechanisms to control and prevent conflicts between ASEAN and China; finally the concerned parties should sign a written undertaking not militarization of the South China Sea.
