Brigitte Trogneux, the woman behind the newly elected French President, helped her husband build public sympathy, drawing votes to the final victory, the Independent reported.
According to a poll, the privacy of politicians did not affect the vote of most French women voters. But just days before the second round of the election, surprisingly, female voters said they were particularly concerned about candidate Emmanuel Macron, a less than 40-year-old politician, because of the marriage. For many voters, Macron's wife, who has just turned 64, "has wrinkles and crushed orange peel skin", giving them the impression that Macron is a feminist advocate.
