"Iron Lady" died, the Indian outbreak of violence

Ms. Jayalalithaa Jayaraman - Tamil Nadu chief minister, one of the politicians most influential of India, has died at the age of 68.

State security is being tightened after clashes between police and supporters of her. Earlier when the news she sick, thousands of supporters gathered outside the hospital to pray for her.

According to Indian media, women politicians dubbed "woman of steel" is a heart attack on the evening of 4-12. Despite the doctors tried to cure, she still did not survive and was gone 5-12 days at 23.30 local time (6-12 hours 0g30 morning VN).

Police currently have intensified in Tamil Nadu due to fears of violence at her supporters, many of whom are even regarded her as "Amma" (mother).

According to the BBC, before her death when the news was announced and then quickly withdrawn, clashes occurred between police and dozens of her supporters outside the hospital.

Then when the hospital officially confirmed she died, she mourned many. Despite the night, hundreds of people lined up on the road leading out of the hospital to wait for her passing trucks.

When the ambulance she emerged from the main entrance, sobs rang out. Supporters crowded into line forward to be closer to her, they almost break the police cordon.

"Our beloved leader I, woman Indian steel ... Amma, was gone," announced her party AIADMK. They also flag at half mast to mourn her.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed "deep sorrow" at the passing away of her, saying that her death "has left a huge void in the Indian political scene." He also praised her for "sticking with people, concerned about the welfare of the poor, women and the disadvantaged".

Ms. Jayalalitha former film star, has played more than 100 films before moving into politics in the early 1980s.

She served as chief minister of Tamil Nadu four terms. She is highly respected people, but many people are also criticized for creating a personality cult. She repeatedly accused of corruption and imprisoned twice, the last time was in 2014.

In 2015, a higher court has declared her innocence in a corruption scandal, clearing the way for her return to power.

She is believed to play an important role in the development of the state of Tamil Nadu - one of the states with the greatest impact on the Indian economy.

After her death, the state government has declared seven days mourning her, and closed schools and universities for three days.
